I'm a beginner, but I don't like using cheap products. Being a newbie, however, I don't feel like I can justify spending a bunch of money on a palette, so I looked long and hard. This is my perfect mixing palette.I'm sure you could use it for a storage palette as well, but what I really wanted was (I have a long, picky list):* Air tight, if possible.* Lid or hinged, so I can keep the dust out.* Lots of space for mixing, lots of wells.* Space for "storage" of small amounts. I think of it as my "in use" supply, so I don't have to keep dipping into my storage palette, as my brush gets dirty, or be constantly washing my brush.* Deep enough, big enough wells that I could use one for clean water and one for rinse water. Maybe several rinse waters, so I can have one for reds, one for yellows, etc.* Sturdy* White* large wells* Small wellsI'm not picky, right?This palette met every. single. item. on my list of desires for a mixing palette.
