And it is quick so noisy for less **Q: Can this be simply plugged into a wall socket?** A: Yes if you attached a plug to the cable. **Q: What is the total load (in watts) of one of these please?** A: Cannot remember exactly but about 600-800 watts? Much much lower than the old its replaced which was 2500 watts, so a big saving on electric! Nice looking and well made. Little worried how long the plastic coloured silver will last, but thats not to say anything has happened to it in the 3 months I have had it! It is similar to the Dyson blade in power, but about 10th of the price! Dries hands very quickly, and collects water in the tray below, so no more water puddle below the drier as with the old one! Tray needs to be emptied about once a week, (thisis in a restaurant!) Will now order the second one for the mens toilet. Its passed the test!ADDITIONAL INFO :- OVER 12 MONTHS Later:- Still working as well as the day I brought it! And the silver colour on the plastic case has worn off at all! This was a major concern for me, and then would look tacky!
