    Background noise way too loud to hear over

I had this in a silent home and the static and background noise regardless of where I put them is way too loud to her conversations.  I bought two and neither work. They do pick up at a good distance, but you can’t hear

For $20, this is a great deal. The brushed metal case is as rugged as any USB drive. The tiny switch is stealthy and it's  the only mechanical item that could eventually fail. The switch is flush to the case so should not turn on in your pocket or snap off. Sound quality is surprisingly good and stored in WAV format. The only warning I have is that you don't get too bent by what you may record. Great way to catch backstabbers. Use at your own risk.
