My daughter has long hair and these types of brushes are so helpful to minimize pain. They work well, wet or dry and we use them every day. They work great for adults too. My daughter and I have a very straight long stringy hair and these brushes work very well. You can use these brushes on wet, dry, straight, or curly hair. I use detangling brushes instead of bristle or hard plastic brushes for mine and my daughter hair because they keep the tangles away and doesn't break our hair. These two brushes are a good size - about the width of the palm of my hand but also thin enough to fit in small places. I enjoy the colors which are a bright pink and blue, I took the pink one and my little one the blue.
