It made the job easier and cleaner. I don't know if i Just got a good one, but it only takes maybe a few rapid pumps to get it flowing. I read some reviews saying it was a hassle to get started but i had no issues. The only part that i did not like in some ways was the small filter they put at the top. I know it can keep gravel or something from being drug out. But my fish is MESSY so it clogs sometimes and i have to either press the button to force water or start the process over to get the flow back. I'd rather it just be a straight flow to get all the nasty out. Not a perfect product but man did it make my job easier cleaning. I'd at least give it a shot and see if you enjoy it like i did.
