Horizon Industries Patent Pending pump motor covers are designed to be the best covers on the market. Research and development by top industry professionals have produced a truly superior product at a great value! This cover will protect your pump motor and the expensive electronics that are on top of the motor. Keeps pump cool: White PVC reflects heat from the sun, reducing the surface temperature by an average of 15 Degrees. 6 vent holes provide airflow. The back of the cover is enclosed on the top 6 inches. The bottom is open to allow clearance for the pumps cooling fan and electrical conduit access. Depending on the specific setup, some cuts may be required to allow for electrical conduit and tight areas ***Pump not included***

Review: Nice cover for new pump - Arrived on schedule and exactly as advertised. I bought this item to cover my new Pentair Intelliflo VS 1.5. I did modify the top slightly to allow the cover to fit a little more forward over the pump by cutting a 2" notch to allow the pump output pipe to come through the cover and allowing the cover to move forward. Very nice PVC material about 1/4 thick. Worth the price to cover new expensive pump.
Review: Great product!! - I ordered this product to protect my new $1,400 Pentair Intelliflo VS- VF pump from the torture of the SW Florida weather. I actually received the product 2days earlier than projected. I was very surprised at the sturdy materials that this cover is made of. It appears to be some sort of composite material very heavy with a bright white finish. Be aware that you might have to cut a channel for the pumps electrical conduit. This is easy to do if you measure correctly, I used a hack saw took about 10 minutes. Put over the pump fit perfectly. Cover fits flush on the concrete pad and butts up against the outlet plumbing that holds it in place. Be aware also when installing the cover that you spread the side a little to go over the 485 cable connection on the pump. There appears that there is plenty of ventilation for the pump. I have checked it several times and do not notice any overheating issues, I guess time will tell. As others have said you can screw it into the pad if you want but that seems to be stupid if you needed to remove for pump service. Overall I’m impressed with this cover so far. I do think the product is a bit over priced, but like everything else, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this product. Please see attached pictures of my install.

This item fit perfectly over our Pentair pool pump we had just purchased and installed. This cover feels very solid and keeps the mechanical portion of the pump shielded from the Florida sun and rain. Our previous pump (not Pentair) lasted about 7 years and at the end looked its age , very faded with rust. Even if this cover only lasts 4 years or so it will definitely be worth it.
