Review: Perfect for my kind of Lazy - I am very happy with this vacuum! When my old vacuum broke I decided to get a new one and looked through many many reviews. I was becoming discouraged to find that apparently quality vacuum's to be used on both hard surfaces and carpet are EXPENSIVE (like approaching $1000+). After learning more about vacuum's than I had ever dreamed possible, I found I wanted a vacuum that had a sealed filtration system, was highly maneuverable and could be used on both hard surfaces and carpet. For me at least, this is that vacuum! I read several reviews that insinuated that the vacuum powered brush head on this vacuum would not be sufficient for medium-high pile wall to wall carpets. Depending on your standard, that may be true, but I was previously happy with the performance of my Dyson DC50 and this does a way better job than that. I am sensitive to noise (I dislike using bathroom fans because they make too much noise). The vacuum itself is very quiet. The vacuum powered brush head attachment is about as noisy as my old vacuum. Biggest surprise for me though was all the things I can now vacuum under! Day one and I have vacuumed under furniture that I haven't vacuumed under since I moved in (and let's be real here, wasn't going to be vacuumed under until I moved out). But this vacuum is so easy to vacuum under the bed, the stairs, under the couch, etc! Cause I'm too lazy to move anything but dining room chairs, to vacuum. The vacuum itself isn't very light but you don't have to move it with every stroke of the vacuum so I don't care. If I was invalid, I would not want to lift this up or down stairs but dragging it around on its wheels I could do, even sick and tired. I absolutely love it, and am very excited that it really only has two electronic parts, a switch and a motor so there are very few parts that could break! I look forward to not picking out a new vacuum for 10+ years.
Review: Amazing quality super quiet - I do consider myself an expert when it comes to home appliances, especially vacuums. I own several high end brands like miele/riccar/maytag/sebo/kirby/rainbow.. you name it, I've got it. I had never owned a Henry before but had seem them before on YouTube and online. They are made/designed in the UK and primarily sold in Europe. But lets be honest, they are a relatively basic vacuum. I wouldn't recommend it if you have any sort of pile carpet you need something with a power brush. The Henry "xtra" means that it comes with the "airo-brush" which is like a large air driven turbo tool for low pile carpet and area rugs. It also comes with a standard carpet brush that can switch to bare floors. And also a horse hair hard floor brush. So a total of 3 floor attachments. Your above floor cleaning is handled with the provided upholstery tool, dusting brush, and crevice tool. There is storage for 2 of the tools on the back of the vacuum but keep in mind the tools can only fit on to the end of the hose with the provided adapter. If you are using them on the end of the wand then you don't need to use the adapter. This is kind of annoying but you get the hang of it. The hose has a very slight stretch to it so it won't split or crack from use. The hose also "tapers" so it's bigger around at the canister than it is on the handle end. This is designed to speed up the air flow. For those wanting to know about the face decal on the front of the Vacuum, it is removable. In fact, it doesn't come attached to the vacuum when it's new. You have to put it on yourself (it clips on). My Henry came with a total of 4 bags. One in the unit already, and 3 extra. Which it's unheard of to get more than the bag that is in the machine already. So I appreciate that they provided extra. The U.S models come with yellow power cords, so they are more robust, heavy gauge commercial quality (this technically is a commercial vacuum). But because of this the coed is harder to wind into the vacuum compared to a standard cord. The cord winder is on the top of the vacuum, and it's a manual winder. But at least it is contained! What am I not happy about?... WELL it is advertised as a 2 speed vacuum. Henry does make 2 speed vacuums and they are the most common. This is a single speed, which I wasn't happy to see when I took it out of the box. Considering you are paying the price of a 2 speed model. The description also said it has a 15 foot hose. I had never seen a Henry with that big of hose, but I had never seen one in person. Only European videos. So I figured it might be true. Nope. It was a normal size hose. Is it a good Vacuum? ABSOLUTELY. I'd buy it again because it's the perfect vacuum for cleaning when I need a utility vacuum for inside the house. Great for vacuuming my car, sofas, beds, hard floors, and occasionally the rugs. It's like a shop vac but so much more.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another ex-UK resident who couldn't bring the One True Vacuum
*by M***T on November 24, 2014*

I, too -- like the other reviewers -- learned about this product from living in the U.K. Over there, I had the wet/dry version and I loved it -the sucking action was so powerful, it would pull the carpet of my London flat off the floor beneath it. Even though the carpet was installed, it would pull it up like a hurricane pulling and tearing a tree out of the ground. Alas, I no longer live in London, and I no longer have carpet (I have mixed feelings about the former, but I don't miss the latter), and I no longer have the U.K. Numatic. I do, however, have the red smaller U.S. version of this review. When I moved back here I had to buy a vacuum cleaner, as I was starting from scratch again. I encountered the misfortune of buying a "wet-dry" Hoover, which was the worst vacuum cleaner I ever bought. That one was so bad I had to "feed" bits and pieces of items to be picked up into the "mouth" of the vaccuum, and I had to constantly clean its filter even though the container wasn't full at all. After months of that, I trashed the product both physically and figuratively via an Amazon review, and I promptly bought my U.S. version of the British Numatic. I was concerned, since other reviews said the sucking power was low. Now I can say the following. The sucking power is definitely lower, and it has to do with the U.S. voltage being 110V. True. On the other hand, it's sufficient. Just now I had it on low, which I rarely use, and it was WAY more effective than the Hoover I had a few months ago. On High, while not as powerful as its British cousin, it was good enough for my needs: concrete floor, wool rugs that shed. Not having to be directly over an item. High is good enough for your needs, I'm pretty sure. It should be said that High for its British cousin is strong enough to suck an entire house into a singularity point. True, you can engage in time travel with the U.K. version, the suction being so powerful as to alter spacetime itself. But you'll be pleased with this U.S. one. Not only is Low, which is a lot quieter, good enough, not only does the bag (it comes with a few) make it extremely easy to clean and rarely as the capacity is enormous even on the small model, but it also comes with a number of attachments. I wish they made it a little easier to store the attachments (I kept the cardboard box for that), but hey. Also, the thing is small, and its little wheels spin around, while its cord has a crank to quickly zip it back in the 'helmet'. Minus one star for costing an arm and a leg. The pricing on this one is a bit bullocks, mate.
