It puts out more than enough light for my 70-gallon marine aquarium.Mine is not a true reef tank; the only invertebrates it contains (apart from snails and hermit crabs) are three condylactis anemones, which seem to be thriving. Algae growth is sufficient to keep my snails busy and my anemones happy, but not at all overwhelming.My favorite thing about this fixture is how thin it is. The quality of the light is quite good. I usually run two blues and a mixed white/blue for my coral tank. Most of my mixed reef tanks are 22-24" deep and I get reasonably high light on top and moderate light towards the bottom. I place my corals accordingly. I tend to run open top tanks with egg crate coverings or something similar. Therein lies the problems. I have had a number of the lights eventually burn out the LEDs, one at a time, and become unusable. Recently I had a 3-stick setup loose the 3-way splitter and one of the lights due to salt corrosion at the connector. I am replacing the splitter and the light, but this time I am sealing the connection point with hot glue inside heat shrink to protect it. I like the lights but I think they should be available with reds, greens, and UV options.
