I have them on my stairs with the hope of stopping my carpet treads from slipping around and off the stairs. They do not work as good as carpet tape, but I am afraid of damaging my wood floors with carpet tape, so I chose these instead. Every couple of days I need to push the carpet tread and this felt rubber underlay back into position on the stairs. In the month or so that we have used them, I've had 3 of 10 of the carpet treads and this felt/rubber set under them fall completely off the stair.
