A: No.Nitrates are removed best by small regular water changes or from living plants in the pond or aquarium.

**Q: I have a hot tub and need to bring down chloine levels - is this ok to use?**
A: I would think so, it's just sodium thiosulfate, which is the same ingredient in most hot-tub dechlorinators.

**Q: Can it be used to neutralize high chlorine levels in swimming pool?**
A: We use it only in our ornamental pond but it doesn't say don't use in pools

**Q: can i use this in my pool**
A: No - you want the water in your pool to be chlorinated, this removes chlorine.
