It is VERY hard in the container. But hit it with a few seconds of heat from your hair dryer, scoop out the softened matter, and rub it in your hands. It is amazing. I have VERY short hair (Think Jamie Lee Curtis) and it is definitely set it and forget it. A little goes a long way! I will purchase it again.
