Comes with tough clear plastic storage tube. Pack of 6.

Review: These actually work! - These DMV Contact Lens removers work really well. I have never been able to get my contacts out by hand so I have always used these to do the trick. Their smooth bottom adheres to the contact and they pop right out.
Review: These are great for removing my scleral contact lens. For HARD lenses, not soft. - I just found out I have keratoconus which causes my cornea to be very oddly shaped. No one could ever correct my vision in my left eye and no one knew why. Finally, I found an eye doctor who immediately knew what was going on. To correct this situation, I need a contact lens called a scleral or "big" lens. This is a hard, really big contact that covers the whole eye and part of the white of the eye. And BOY did it change my vision. I can see 20/15 now when before, I saw a blurry big E and that was it! The problem with these big lenses is that they're tricky to put in and take out. I briefly wore soft contacts and could just pinch them out of my eyes but that can't be done with this hard lens. The plunger is the only way I can remove the lens. It easy grasps onto my lens and allows me to remove it painlessly. It also holds onto the lens so it doesn't end up lost. These lenses are very, very expensive so I can't afford to lose the one I have. If you have soft contacts, this tool won't work well. These plungers are for hard contacts and they work like a charm. I like that these are each in their own little case. I carry one with me in my purse, another in my glove compartment, and one at home. They're simple but necessary for me to safely remove my lens. I got the three pack and the price was great. For me, these are absolute must haves. If you have hard contacts or scleral ones, these plungers will get the lenses out of your eyes fast, easily, and with no discomfort. They can be used to insert the lenses as well but I use a different tool for that.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why i can not return the item? It does not work on the contact lens and hurt my eyes as i try to remove the lens**
A: This is the inserter, not the remover, but when it hurts my eyes taking them out it's bc I blinked as I did it, when I hold the eye wide open and don't let it shut as I pop them off my eyeball it feels like nothing, other wise it feels like I straight stuck a stick in my eye.

**Q: Where was this manufactured?**
A: DMV Corporation is in Zanesville Ohio, but I don't know if the lens remover is manufactured there.

**Q: what size is this tool**
A: Container is 1.5". The remover itself is 1 1/8" in length. Diameter of remover is less than 1/4" which is small enough to attach to my lens without touching my eye. Make sure to follow the directions to moisten the plunger surface first. Very convenient size. I bought several for my purse, the bathroom and my travel kit.

**Q: Do these have holes in the bottom/base close to where you hold the plunger?**
A: No. They are solid. There is a very small invention in the base.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Having spares is a necessity for me, not an option
*by R***O on September 8, 2026*

This is the same brand extraction tool that my optometrist gave me when I first started wearing the lenses. Although I've mastered inserting my scleral lenses with fingertips, it's now three years on and I still have to rely on this lens-extraction golf-tee-looking tool to remove the lenses. Once, I dropped it and had an anxious 15 minutes in searching for it. The light blue color made it hard to find. I never wanted to be in that situation again, so I ordered these as spares. And in orange to differentiate it from the insertion tool, which I ordered in cobalt blue. I have found that "in a pinch" I can use the extraction tool in lieu of the insertion one, though not as easily. Like the insertion tee, I keep an extraction tee in my bathroom, purse, and car. **TIPS** Whether you use your fingers or this extraction tool, it can be truly painful and even eye-damaging if you do it wrong. It can feel like your eyeball is being ripped out. It took me a long time to figure it out, but there are two things that help me to correctly extract a lens. It works for me, so maybe it will work for you, too. 1. If your eyes are dry (or even if they are not), put a drop of saline in your eyes and wait a few moments. 2. Position the tool on the bottom EDGE of the lens and without touching your eye. Look UP a bit while giving the lens a wee small upward push. WARNING: Do not store more than one tee in its plastic case. I was tempted to, but upon researching it discovered that (in addition to the usual sanitation alerts) the rubbers could interact with each other in a way that degrades both. The instructions that came with the tools were pretty good, but lacked this crucial information with context.
