They will have the correct battery, and better quality too ! **Q: Hello, what s the length of this bike, thank you.** A: From the back of the front tire to the front of the front tire the bike is 4'. The seat is 21" off the ground. My son is 8 years old and rides it comfortably. I would say this is ideal for the typical 8-12 year old kid. My son really loves it and we are comfortable with his safety provided that he wears a helmet and shoes. Hope that helps! **Q: can you drive it on gravel** A: Yes. It does get a little shaky but it still goes. I usually drive it on the side of the road where there is loose gravel but I make my daughter stay on the sidewalk. **Q: Is it suitable for commuting 1 to 2 miles ? It's little hillly town. Is it easy to stop? easy to be stolen...?** A: I would think that using the scooter for one mile is doable, but I am reluctant to say that 2 miles is suitable. It is peppy but I don't know how long it will hold a charge. We don't leave it outside and I wouldn't recommend it, you may be more creative than me about chaining it up to prevent theft. Also, I am not sure of the weight of the person who will be riding it but it has a limit of 160 lbs - I would say that no one over 150 should ride it, it really slows it down.
