Review: Natural Redhead with Virgin Hair Here.... - TL;DR Easy to use. Didn't turn my virgin hair orange. Applied on wet natural red virgin hair for 8 minutes. Smell isn't bad. Hair left soft and conditioned. Achieved desired results. Reapply once a week (or as needed). Highly recommend! (updates at the bottom) I'm 43 years old and my hair is starting to darken out to an auburn I don't really care much for. People are starting to call my red hair brunette. Makes me sad I'm losing the vibrancy of my red!! After reading the reviews I was scared to try this. Many were way more orange than I wanted. Most are on already bleached/color treated hair. The application times and methods were all over the place. I wanted only subtle change and nothing drastic. I wanted to keep my red hair natural looking, but make the color pop again. I read through SO MANY of these reviews trying to decide if I should and how to execute this flawlessly. Lol APPLICATION METHOD I USED: I decided to stay on the safe side and apply it in the shower on wet hair for 8 minutes. If it wasn't enough I would up the time. I know it washes out but I didn't want to have to take 3 showers to tone it down and waste unnecessary product. I washed my hair with shampoo first to make sure my scalp and roots were clean and free of oils. Then used approximately 6 pumps total and worked it into my hair (like shampoo) again. Then ran a comb through it all from root to ends to ensure even distribution. After my 8 minute timer went off, I Rinsed with cool water and got out. I used a hair dryer to dry my hair. Curled it all then took the photo. ROOTS: I noticed many mentioned their roots not being touched and I'm not sure on those if they were all on people with color treated hair. I felt like I read one natural that felt the roots got neglected. There was no issues with my roots STAINING: I had no issues with staining. Applying in the shower I just worked it into my hair and didn't get it everywhere. Rinsed my hands immediately once I got it in there. SMELL I personally liked the smell. It's not very strong. I'm honestly surprised it even has been mentioned. CONDITIONING It left my hair feeling soft. It was nearly slipping out of my curling iron afterwards. COLOR I am happy with the color it has added. Very subtle, but I can tell. It did not completely cover my greys but I do think one wash with it toned them down. Is exactly what I was looking for. I might wait a couple washes and then leave it on wet hair for 10 minutes. Then update with a photo. MAINTAIN COLOR: I apply this about once a week and apply it more to my roots than the rest of my hair. Then comb out down through my wet hair with a large toothed comb so that it blends in, but doesn't continue to overdue the ends as much. EYEBROWS: I've applied this to my eyebrows so that they match better. Must do so carefully unless you want stains around your brows. ;) REMOVE COLOR: I accidentally discovered that Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo will take most all of the color out in one wash! I wanted to add this for anybody that would like to reverse the process after undesired results. I LOVE that this has and will revived my natural red hair!! Highly recommend to my fellow natural redhead sistas!! UPDATE: It's really hard to get the red to show up in pictures, but I wanted to update how things were going on this product. It is now April 3, 2024. After a few applications I received the shade I used to be. I use this once a week and only for about 5 minutes on wet hair. UPDATE: I have now been using this for over a year as needed to blend in at the roots to keep it looking vibrant and natural. In Sept 2024 I received a complement from a flight attendant telling me to never color my hair. Trust her that she used to be a hairdresser. So pleased she couldn't tell I touch up my natural red hair. Made my day. :) Last picture is today after a year use. Dec 28, 2024. UPDATE APRIL 13, 2026 Still using, still happy. I picked up another compliment from a hairdresser commenting how beautiful my hair is and to never color it. I have this on subscription, and already have three bottles on standby. However, I noticed it's nearly half off today, so ordering a couple more to save money in the long run. Because I never want to be without it. Hope they never discontinue this product, because that ALWAYS happens when I find something I absolutely love. If you are thinking about buying this, now is the time to give it a shot and save some money! ❤️💲💵💸
Review: Silver-blonde maintenance + BRUNETTE UPDATE - I have used the purple/platinum before and loved that, but the pictures are after two washes with the SILVER. I didn’t really see any reviews for this color with photos so I wanted to post some to help out any prospective buyers. When I was platinum blonde, the purple/platinum keracolor was my favorite hair product for maintenance — it didn’t leave any purple hues but was still effective. However, I found that it takes a LOT of toning to banish extremely stubborn yellow from my hair, so I decided to go in a more silvery-gray direction. I’m so glad I did because I’m absolutely in love with it like this!! As you can see, there’s zero yellow, any blonde that’s visible is super ashy, and it’s shiny & dimensional enough not to look straight-up gray. Keep in mind that I originally made my hair silver with proper salon-quality toner after a bleaching session — I use the keracolor clenditioner to *maintain* the silver look for the 6-ish weeks between touch-ups. Not only does it help even out any spots I might’ve missed & ensures that the silver doesn’t fade, but also keeps it feeling nice and healthy. In my experience, it feels clean and doesn’t get greasy for at least 3 days (I wash my hair about 2x per week), but everyone is different — if you’re prone to greasy hair, use a shampoo beforehand, and if you’re prone to dry hair, use a conditioner afterward. Please remember that unless you’re trying to tint darker hair, most of the available colors will only turn out as they’re supposed to if you have really really light blonde hair, like a level 9+ — otherwise they may be darker than anticipated or totally ineffective, which can obviously be disappointing. If you do have really pale blonde/bleached hair like mine, you don’t need to leave it in too long for it to work. I leave it in for about 2-5 minutes, but you can leave it in longer for a more intense look. If you dislike the result, the color should come out after a few washes with clarifying shampoo. If the color is still stubbornly clinging to your locks, try using Color Oops — it will not damage your hair, so you can use it as many times in a row as you need to to remove deposited color. Note: My hair is naturally a really dark brown (about a level 4-5 with reddish undertones) but I bleach & tone it myself at home with salon-quality products (I do not/cannot recommend bleaching your own hair — it took a lot of research, some trial & error, and consults with professionals, it is a great skill to have). Overall I highly recommend this as long as you know what to expect :) UPDATE 07/2023: My hair is the same length as it was in those photos about a year ago (I keep it trimmed at a medium bob). As I mentioned in my prior review, my natural dark-brown hair has some red undertones that are hard to get rid of. I’ve had it dyed my natural color for about 8mo now, just from a box. Hoping to dye it a dark silver shade, I did a round of Color-Oops to remove the remaining brown, leaving it with about 4” of natural root and 5” lengths of bleached dirty blonde leftover from my platinum phase. I used the silver Klenditioner on wet hair for about 20 minutes, hoping to tone out some of the aggressive gold while waiting for a tube of professional ultra-ashy toner to arrive. I was so surprised when I rinsed it & saw what a beautiful “bronde” my lengths had turned. I didn’t expect it to do anything to my natural hair, but the red undertones are basically gone, leaving me with super soft dark chocolate to mushroom ombré. I LOVE THIS STUFF.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How often should I use Keracolor Color + Clenditioner?**
A: Adjust usage based on your color preference. For subtle enhancement, 1-2 times a week suffices; for a vibrant look, use more often, even with every wash— find your ideal routine, assessing color intensity regularly for nourished and vibrant hair.

**Q: Can I create my own color with Color + Clenditioners?**
A: Absolutely! With Keracolor Color + Clenditioners, you have the creative freedom to blend shades, allowing you to craft your unique, personalized hair color. Experiment, mix, and create a hue that perfectly reflects your style and individuality.

**Q: How Long will the color last?**
A: Our semi-permanent Color + Clenditioners duration varies based on factors like wash frequency, hair porosity, and color choice. Lighter shades fade faster; porous hair absorbs color more quickly and stays longer.

**Q: How can I remove the color from my hair?**
A: To remove color, switch to a clarifying shampoo to help fade color gradually. Results vary based on the color and hair type. Seek professional advice for effective and safe removal based on specific hair conditions.

**Q: Will this work on my Gray hair?**
A: Color + Clenditioners coverage for gray hair varies in effectiveness due to gray hair's resistance and lack of natural pigment. For better results, pre-lightening or choosing a slightly darker shade is recommended.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid product for a pink refresh
*by A***R on August 17, 2026*

I dye my hair with semi permanent light pink. Pink is such a hard color to keep in my hair. This is a good product for refreshing your color between dye jobs. It also makes your hair soft, smells great, doesn’t stain clothes or fingers, and rinses clean. However, there is definitely a learning curve with it. If you use it in the shower on wet hair like it says on the bottle, you will have little to no pink pigment at all. If you place it on dry hair and let it sit for 10+ minutes and rinse with cold water, no shampooing or conditioner after, this will be your result. Wash and condition your hair first. It’s a very light pastel pink. Also should be noted that the color is pretty much gone after one wash with cold water and color safe shampoo. I would recommend using after every wash if you want pink to stay in your hair fully and not look dull and peachy. SO overall, solid product. Ideally, I’d like more color payoff and have it last a few washes. But, I appreciate that I don’t have to dye my hair between salon visits. I would recommend this product for sure. Just know what you’re getting with it. 🩷
