If i had one small gripe it would be that to mount to forward/reverse switch to an enclosed box with a face plate, you have to remove the shrink wrap around the switch to get it to fix nicely and also remove and re-solder two of the wire that come from the switch. I usually just replace with spade connectors anyways...but that's the only improvement i can think of. If i had one small gripe it would be that to mount to forward/reverse switch to an enclosed box with a face plate, you have to remove the shrink wrap around the switch to get it to fix nicely and also remove and re-solder two of the wire that come from the switch. Easy to wire / install, I used a Ryobi Drill Bit Box to enclose the controller. The only problem I had was that the 3-way rocker switch was hard wired and could not be installed in the front cover without cutting one pair of green and blue wires. Would be easier if the maker provided a male/female connector for those. It seems to work fine but I have not had it our on the lake yet.
