It takes reasonable time to complete the first charge. The performance is just like my original IBM ThinkPad battery - making my battery status light flash in proper sequence and lasting to the time as indicated in my battery meter.The other considerate thing this meticulous manufacturer (Lapnotemate) does for its customer is they alert you by putting a label to indicate the battery you received could be different in physical size than expected (the capacity is larger, 3 more cells, of course, it is larger in physical size.) So, you won't be suprised for receiving something you didn't order. I guess everyone should be happy to receive the product in more value than it was paid for.
