The pot itself is a good size, and with 2oz of moisturizer, there should be enough here to last me for several months - I have purchased other products before at a similar price point which were just 1oz, so I was very pleased to be getting twice the amount.What initially drew me to try this moisturizer was the fact it was USDA Certified organic - this gave me the confidence that there would be no hidden chemical nasties or toxic additions. I have had sensitive skin for a number of years and realized that many moisturizers I had tried in the past contained chemicals of one sort or another and were affecting my skin - some made me break out, while some left me with red patches. After doing much research, I realized that what I needed to do was cut out these chemicals and try something natural.Ok, so let’s talk a little more about Organity - first of all the scent. Organity positions this as being a citrus-like scent and I agree, although there is also a hint of Wintergreen in there too, which I don’t mind at all because it’s quite minty and refreshing! The scent is not overly strong and after a few minutes, does fade. But hey, I happen to like the smell of citrus and mint, so I’m good with this!Next, the thickness - yes, this is a thick, creamy moisturizer. At first, I was quite surprised by this, but on reflection, it’s because they do not use any water in their ingredients. One tip Organity gives you is to use a very small amount to start with. Now I have to say I did not read this at first and applied quite a bit...and it felt a little on the tacky side. But after reading the tip, I started over, applying just a small amount and it absorbed nicely and did not leave any stickiness. They also recommend cleansing your face before applying and suggest a method to help absorbing is to place a warm, damp face cloth on your skin beforehand, which helps the cream sink in. So again, because you don’t have to use so much, the pot should last me a few months.After using this for several days now, may face feels considerably smoother and definitely has a more healthy glow about it! I use this both in the morning and at night before bed, my face feels great in the morning and I have had no reactions since using (which is such a relief!). I even started using it on my elbows, as I suffered from dry patches on there and after just a couple of days, it seems to have cleared this up, so this is a bonus to me!I’m really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to cut out chemicals, or who have drier skin as this has helped me with both of these! The directions say to make sure that you stir before use, due to there being no chemicals to bind the cream together. That's great, but, even after mixing it up thoroughly, the lotion does not sink into your skin. It stays on the surface of your skin, making it feel pasty and sticky. Just very unnatural. I tried this item two different times, thinking I just didn't mix it up good, but no, the second time was no better. I am sad that it didn't work order for me. I was excited about the fact that it was all organic and actually not harmful to your skin.I would like to say though, that their customer service team is outstanding. They have done everything to make right of the situation.. Maybe the lotion could work for you?? It just didn't for me. One review shouldn't mean that it wont work for anyone else. I did have a little learning curve ... I did need to learn to use a smaller amount than I was used to with other moisturizers, but between that change, and waiting a short time before putting anything else on my skin, I find this absorbs very well. I have found that if I put the moisturizer on, do my eye makeup, and then use my tinted moisturizer (I don't like foundations but I need something to brighten my complexion a bit), everything works well together. I've gathered from some of the reviews that one shouldn't "need" to use anything else after moisturizing, and while that may work well for the 20 or 30 somethings, when you start to approach 60, your skin needs a little more help to look good, or at least mine does. I love the fact that your product is completely organic and my skin feels soft and hydrated all day long. That's big for me ... I tend to have very dry skin.Thank you for a great product!!
