    Stops charging while charging up the Com-Pad Power-Bank

I have been using the Com-Pad Power Bank for a few week now it will charge an iPad 2 one time rather slow to charge the iPad. It will charge an Apple iPhone 4 or 5 times. Today a fully charged power bank and it only charged my iPad to 59%. So it takes around 15 to 18 hours to charge the charger. Ever time I have charged it it works well for a few hours then all light goes off, I pick it up and move it around then it will come back on like a short in the cord to charge it with. This has happen each time I have charged it. Hours wasted thinking it's charging and it's just sitting there not doing anything. It would be better if it wasn't so slick on the surface. I liked the fact it had its own cord that is short so charging up the phone in a purse is nice, how ever when trying  to charge it back up up can't use and Apple iPad2 charger or Apple iPad 4 charger. You have to use the short cord that came with it but it's to short to put on a table top and charge unless you are using a electric strip that will plug into the wall and then set on a table top. Thinking on returning and I bought 2 of these one for a Christmas gift coming up. To sum it up something's wrong with the cord to charge.

    A camping lifesaver

Camping takes place miles from civilization, ideally. Unfortunately, the best camp sites are always just barely within reach of a cell tower, and your phone spends a lot of time searching for a tower and sucking down the battery in the process. You either have to go without your cell, or stay within reach of outlets, which really limits opportunities for exploration.Enter the Com-Pad, a life-saver for connected campers. I can charge my smart phone four times off of the Power Bank. That means a two-day excursion into the backwoods can be supported by my favorite hiking, geocaching and Audobon apps (trees, birds, bugs). I can also post pics of the camping fun to facebook. (Side note: A few of my friends actually got into weekend hiking because they realized that while they were rotting away on their couches, I was discovering amazing sites that were literally just down the road.)Let me just be clear up front: there is one down side to the com pad - you cannot expect to charge it with your cell phone charger, even if you have one with the same microusb port. You need a quality, heavy duty charger. That's because as batteries charge, their resistance increases. Your charger has to be capable of putting out enough voltage to push more electrons into the battery (to simplify things... really not what happens in the world of physics). And if you expect the battery to be able to charge in a decent amount of time - say about 2-3 hours - you need a charger that can put out real current. An iPad charger can do it, but the problem is the iPad chargers expect to have an iPad on them, so they will sometimes shut down before the Com-Pad is properly charged. Invest in a good quality charger designed for Android tablets, and you will maximize both your recharge time and use of the Com Pad.Also, here's a little tip: If you double-tap the power button on the compad, the blue charging LED will turn white. This is very useful when you're plugging up. I didn't read this in any of the documentation, and wondered why the picture on Amazon had a white light when mine was blue. Now I know.

    Outstanding Product - Wish Cord Was Longer

Purchased this because I am constantly burning up the battery on my Galaxy S3 due to high use. It is sold as a charger, but I actually use it as an external battery for my phone. Plug this into my phone and I can continue working without having to sit in my car or be stuck tied to a wall charger. It can fully charge my phone in about 45 minutes if I'm not using it. The ONLY reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the cord is VERY short......The unit comes with a 6-8 inch 3-to-1 cord which is used to charge unit itself when used one way, and then you reverse it and connect it to your device/s. The unit is charged by using the micro-USB connectors plugged into the units charging port and then plugging the single standard USB connector into a computer or wall charger. Once the unit is charged, you reverse the cable and connect the standard USB connector to one of the 2 power output ports and your device to one of the other 3 connectors.I understand why the cord is short. It prevents it getting all tangled up in itself. But it does make you have keep the unit right next to the phone. I will be purchasing a longer cord to accommodate my needs.
