It does not play CDs without odd playback problems. If it had actually worked, it would still be overpriced considering the size. This is my third boombox CD player in the last 30 days. I keep sending them back to Amazon because they are all unplayable junk. I don't know if it's related to the Chinese trade war or if China just forgot how to make a CD player. I'm still looking for a quality (by quality I mean anything that will correctly play CDs) replacement for my last portable stereo which was an awesome Craig Electronics CD Boombox with AM/FM Stereo Radio.
