It was a bit difficult to remove from the vial it came in. The trick is to submerge the vial in hot water (I used hot water from the tap) until the outer layer melts. Then the entire slug slides right out. Keep it away from carpet. If you spill some on a hard floor, let it cool and then scrape it off with a credit card. It leaves a gray residue on your hands that takes a little work to remove. Just scrub with soap and warm/hot water.
