It is made with the same musically-tuned tubes we use in our world famous Woodstock Chimes® and is tuned to a pentatonic (five-note) scale, rooted in the music of ancient civilizations. Playing the Pipedream is easy and very satisfying. You can try the familiar songs printed in the song sheet such as Amazing Grace (with numerical notation for those who don’t read music), or experiment by creating your own tunes. It’s like a (pipe) dream come true! Woodstock Chimes are the original, musically-tuned, high-quality windchimes known worldwide for their superior sound. When listening to a Woodstock Chime, you hear a fine musical instrument played by the wind, musically-tuned using the ancient system of “just intonation” based on natural harmonics. This means the frequencies at which the different tubes vibrate are related to one another by simple whole-number ratios. Auch wenn man die Röhren aus dem Klangspiel herausnimmt, was leicht zu bewerkstelligen ist, klingen sie freischwingend immer noch dumpf.
