As another reviewer mentioned, there were few instructions to put it together - actually am not quite sure it is together as it should be, but it works, just not completely sturdy on one end (may try to look at how it is anchored (snapping together as they mention) later. There are a few small places on the back where possibly the color did not take or either was scuffed in the manufacturing or crating, not too noticeable unless you are looking for it on the back and it is low to the bottom. There are two other indentions on the bottom front where it was banded - hopefully, that will go away in time! The frame seems sturdy and much better than the other ones appeared online with other reviews. The leather is very smooth, pretty deep saturated brown, doesn't really show the varigation very much. It does appear to be a good quality leather and good seat padding. As mentioned in the online description, it does apparently have some down in the wrapped cushions since you can feel some quills, but I think that will be only a temporary thing. Sofa is very comfortable for me, in my 60's, and my grandsons, in their teens,and the manual reclining is not difficult for me or them, of course, as mentioned by another reviewer for the matching loveseat. I was hesitant to purchase such an expensive item, for me anyway, online sight unseen - and I try not to purchase anything from China(seems most are made there and "assembled" here in the US); however, I relied on the Barcalounger brand name this time. I feel it is worth the several hundred dollars more than the ones I was considering online and so far am not sorry I chose the more expensive one. I do like also that it doesn't have the tiers across the back cushions. Guess the cons could be the 18-wheeler delivery outside, putting it together yourself not knowing if everything is anchored properly and the somewhat small scuffs on the back without full color saturation (Luckily, it doesn't show much where it is in my living room. If there were a lot of light where I had it placed, I might not be quite as pleased, although it still would probably be more noticeable to me than to others - when you buy something, you just want it to be perfect. But they do appear small, maybe 1/8-1/4 in if that and inch or so long for the largest one and smaller for several others.) Overall, I am so far very pleased with the comfort, quality and style. If you are looking for a good quality leather in a sofa and like this style, I don't think you would be sorry in seriously considering this one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice sofa and well worth the price! *by P***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2015* The Barcalounger reclining sofa is well-built, comfortable, and attractive. The leather is soft, color is uniform, and appears to be good quality. The color was a little darker than shown in the sample photo, but appears to be taking on a slight reddish highlight with use. The manual recliner mechanism is simple, smooth, and seems to work well. The sofa came from the BackStore, and was well-packaged with a sturdy box, and covers for all pieces (base, backs, and seat cushions). Assembly was simple, with the brackets on each back piece sliding over and locking into a tapered piece on the base, and the seat cushions sliding into place where they are held by Velcro strips. Both my wife and I are tall, and the seat back is high enough to be comfortable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good couch.
