Growing up I just used paperclips and tooth picks and popsicle sticks- whatever we had laying around, and at some point I realized I was a Real Adult with a job and I could buy real tools. I grabbed these because the price was nice and there was a variety of tools in different sizes so I could work on normal sized action figures or little teeny tabletop minis. I wish I’d had these in college when doing ceramic projects; they would have been great! So far, so good- I’ve used them for two projects so far (only one of which I have photos of). The rubber tools are fantastic for smoothing clay and do a decent job if you are taking chunks off of a sculpture while also having enough give to let you naturally detail things comfortably. My only issue was that one of the rubber sculpting tools came apart as they sometimes do right at the metal grip, but it’s an easy fix with some glue or extra epoxy.
