Review: rEGARDING diameters of pans' bottom: These work for INDUCTION, but - INDUCTION USE: I purchased these stainless steel WMF Gala II pans specifically for use on an INDUCTION cook top. Three of the 6 pots in this set are of a significantly smaller diameter (5.75") than the full diameter of my induction elements (approx. 8"). The other three of the pots are: two with a 7" bottom diam., one with a 8.5" bottom diam. I have been told by my induction dealer that the burners/elements are most efficient when the diameter of the pan's bottom is as near to the element's diameter as possible. The smaller pans still work, but I have a concern about overtaxing my induction cooktop elements. The bottoms of this set of pans are very SMOOTH/FLAT, which is also important for induction cooking, as ridges or indentations on pan bottoms can cause a buzzing sound. One wants as much of a pan bottom's surface area to be in contact with the cooktop as possible. None of the pans in this set are of a large enough diameter to use on my 10.75" element, but that leaves that element/burner free to use for a 12" skillet or other larger pan/pot.
