It helps to set the foundation, prevent the oily look, and prevent my face from getting oily in general. It's also useful for touchup later in the day to cover shiny spots.It's slightly colored, which I don't need, so the low visibility of the color doesn't bother me.It comes with a nice powder pad but I use my own brush normally. The only annoying thing is shaking the box delicately enough to get powder out of the holes and not over the side.
