The book follows our main character as he is, at first, upset by what he perceives as the world conspiring against him. As we progress through the book, we learn that there has been a sequence of events leading up to the main event that bothers our protagonist. Each perpetrator has been perpetrated against--and unknowingly committed an action that made things difficult for someone else. At the end of the story, we learn that it was, in fact, our main character who set the chain of action in motion--creating a full circle. My daughter is only five months old, but I intend to read this book to her frequently to help her develop empathy, compassion, patience, and understanding. Great recommendation from a well-known child development organization!
