I have a 20G community tank with a Fluval AC3 with added media and to be honest I like this Aqua-Tech more. For two reasons - it’s damn near silent. And for its size that’s impressive. All I hear is the water flow. Reason two is its filtration. I know these units come down to how you take care of them and what you put in them. But for a right out of the box filter, it cleared the tank quicker and more efficiently than the Fluval. I can’t speak for longevity as I just got it a few days ago. However, this seems to be a fantastic buy for the money.
