**Q: Does it have a strong odor/fumes?  I assume it will because it is a varnish.**
A: Not at all. Being a water based varnish, it does not have the strong odor associated with other types of varnish. Not to be compared to spray varnish, either.

**Q: Does this dry very matt or does it have a sheen?**
A: It has a very matte finish when it dries.

**Q: Is this dishwasher safe?**
A: No.  It is not a product I would use on anything that would even go into a dishwasher

A: It is matte. It is invisible and doesn’t change the appearance of your chalk paint.

I painted a whole 5 drawer dresser with one jar!  I was even able to put 2 coats! I did not have to sand the old paint off before hand, just took a wet rag and gave it a good rinse before I started. This paint color is beautiful. I will definitely be buying more for my next project!
