I used the top of the tile to plan out my floor with a nice 1/8th Inch gap. When it came time to lay the tile and the plastic pieces were placed under the tile the spacing grew to 1/4 inch. I found out this is because of how the tiles are made, the top is rounded and the bottom is more square. I think this is pretty standard for most tikes. Very frustrating to find this out as I was laying tile. I ended up not using this system to level the tiles.
