Is that a belt attachment?** A: I don't know? mine did not have one, the pouch that in comes in has one loop, I suppose you can use that for hanging off your belt. **Q: is this a suitable item to pemanantly attach to an rv? if so how would anybody try to do that?** A: Drill a hole that will hold a brass or if good plastic is wanted, a Delrin bushing. Many sizes of grommets both U.S. & metric available for sealing too. Install O-rings for water tightness, with cap nuts to tighten to expand the O-rings to snug it, similar to optical lens adjusting. The trouble of it is that water can get into it from outside rains and traveling. Would need some sort of hood over it. Hood is easy enough to make. Find tube that fits over the unit nicely. Spray Plasti-dip on the tube. Plasti-dip peels off so you have only Plasti-dip for the length, or use the original tube with extra Plasti-dip reinforcement. Cut out an area so can close the Plasti-dip cover so an tighten it. Lace it woth cordage if necessary. Use snaps. Whatever. Would want to retract it inside, so the 'hood' may only be a few inches? Might be better to use "Hook and Loop" (Velcro is the most popular brand name for H&L) and simply place it outside of the RV whenever backing so you can see better behind the rear bumper, or if wanting to look around the campground, that would work too. A major problem is that the mirror and lens must align, so it is necessary to spin your head in the direction you want look while simultaneously spinning the mirror that direction. So you will need room to turn and twist your body unless you're an owl. **Q: Any way to attach a small light to the scope for searching dark spaces?** A: Yes. You could attach a mini flashlight with a small hose clamp. You might want to put a piece of leather, or rubber between, or around the scope & not overtighten. **Q: Can the periscope be used to look behind you ? I want to use it to see hehind me when backing up an implement.** A: NO ! unless you want to loosen and rotate the diagonal mirror mounts 180 degrees and remove the mounted mirror , turn 180 degrees and reinstall . This is not worth the effort, Use a hand mirror with a handle to look behind use.
