You have to empty soot each time?** A: This trimmer is used when the wick gets too long. You should keep it trimmed short to burn better and longer. When you clip the wick, the trimmer catches it so it doesn't fall into the candle was. Each wick is trimmed individually, so it doesn't matter how many wicks your candle has. Hope this helps! **Q: Does it precisely cut wick to 1/4th of and inch or should we have to guestimate and cut the correct length?** A: I hold the trimmer all the way down the wick till it reaches the wax. Then I cut. It leaves about a 1/4 of the wick. **Q: Will this easily cut wood wicks?** A: I don't know, I've never tried to cut wood wicks. But they wo work awesome with regular wicks **Q: Does it work on wood wick?** A: I have never used it on a wooden wick but, I don't see why it wouldn't you may just have to snip more than the once it takes on other wicks. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/115607669-evermarket-candle-wick-trimmer-polished-stainless-steel-wick-clipper-cutter](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/115607669-evermarket-candle-wick-trimmer-polished-stainless-steel-wick-clipper-cutter) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
