The monkeys bases have pretty much all been broken off from kids stepping on them, but it doesn't affect playability and none of the catapults have broken (much to my surprise). Getting a 2nd game to expand for more kids to play at once! The assembly is easy, with disassembly equally as easy. The tree is in two parts which are simply pushed together to assemble. They don't snap so they can be pulled back apart to be stored in the box once play is over. The catapult was a bit difficult for my 3 year old GRANDdaughter to manage at first, but she soon discovered how to use it. Recommended ages stated on the box are 5 and up, which I think 4 + would be accurate, depending on the hand/eye coordination of the child. My GRAND made up her own game play and I think as long as a game brings challenge it is a winner with me.
