The bowl is the right size for soup, which is why I bought it. The bowl color is a light grey (I thought it might be white, but it's not). The handle is acacia wood, according to the description, and that looks right and give the tool a more elegant look. The silicone of the bowl extends up to meet the wooden handle, which is good, because that keeps the wood out of the soup for the most part. Because of the wood handle, I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher, so hand washing is needed (hence the 4 stars on the easy to clean rating).
