While they are completely sealed, they are not completely waterproof by any means. The zipper has 1/4" material exposed on either side. So liquid could seep out. Also one side is clear while the other side is more opaque. **Q: Do they leak in case a lid isnot secured on something inside** A: Because there is 1/4" of fabric on either side of the zipper, there is the chance of seepage. **Q: Has anyone personalized these with vinyl?** A: yes! It works amazingly **Q: Is there a 'rip stop' (metal or plastic) at the base of the zipper? Zippers without it don't last long.** A: No metal stop. There is simply a sewn stitch at both ends of the zipper.
