I bought it in attempt to find a 1 liter soda bottle with standard 28mm threads that would fit in my soda bottle insulated carrier and be compatible with the Sawyer filter. That's right: I'm using a dental water system bottle for camping.It's awesome for several reasons: 1. No more worrying about my reused Dasani bottle getting squashed again -- this thing is unsquashable 2. No more worrying that my water bags will tear or burst -- this thing is untearable and unburstable. 3. It's slim like a 1 liter soda bottle so it fits in all cupholders, carriers, and pack pockets. 4. It's easy to use with a filter 5. A liter bottle is the perfect size to filter so I can make exactly one mug of tea and one small pot of noodles on the tent stove 6. My 28mm bottle cap that has holes in it for use as a dog shower or watering can also fits 7. If I lose the cap, I can borrow one off any Coke bottle, and 8. Drinking out of an old-fashioned looking medical bottle is a hilarious conversation starter in backpacking groups. All the other dental water bottles eventually leaked air except for their water bottles. Because their bottles are thicker, their diameter is also larger and I had some problems fitting the two bottle on my unit.
