Just kidding. If you use hang on screw method or sticky method the removal is the same. You slide up as far as it can go and than you pull out. This will allow you to remove the main body from the hanging screw or the back-plate that stuck on the sticky tape. Now you have full access to the back battery compartment. I hope this helps. **Q: Can you deactivate motion sensor and only manually turn it on ?** A: My parents use these as some kind of flashlights by keeping them face-down by the bed. Pick one up, and it turns on. Put it back, face down, and soon it turns off. This is essentially a way to manually turn it on and off. It’s September 15th and the energizer batteries I put in the first day is still going. They’re almost dead but the batteries last a long time.
