I tried a number and, until this one, none of them provided adequate support of both my cervical spine and the back of my head. It also does everything else this type of pillow should do: keeps my head from tilting too far to the side in either direction, or forward if you secure it with the little knot/loop closure. I've also discovered that using it the way it is supposed to be situated is very comfortable during the day when I'm sitting upright. But at night when I'm sleeping, it's more comfortable upsidedown.
