I have spent more than double on other dishes in the past that don't hold a candle to these. They wash well in the dishwasher, so far don't seem to be easily chipable.They are a cooler greyish white a bit like ironstone without the heft of it. They are thin but not weak. The simple design is for any decor style and for all year 'round use. TAKE NOTE: The mugs are large - not like a tea cup size - they can actually hold an entire can of soup perfectly - which is my favorite way to eat soup, with a mug! it will be nice for extra large coffee and hot chocolate, too. The bowls are a nice size for a salad appetizer but not great with cereal as they aren't super deep.I intend on buying a 3rd set in the near future, think I am going to hang on to these a nice long while. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great dishes for the price *by A***N on August 16, 2014* The stoneware arrived in perfect condition and a little better quality than I expected. The off-white color is perfect with my cobalt blue glassware and dishes. They have enough design to be interesting but not over-done. I would like to see additional pieces to match, and wish they were oven-proof.
