Lots of well thought out features, problem was it came off the back of my VW van twice. With my bike attached to it! We were exploring around Moab on rough dirt roads and the top strap broke. $2000 mountain bike flies off. It was a big pot hole that made it jump off. Second time, I retied the strap and tried to make it as tight as I could. Another culvert in the road and again the rack and bike fly off the back. Again no damage to the bike, but rack slightly bent up. That's it, I'm done taking chances. Bike goes in the van. I may be able to use some of the parts and the locking arms to make something for the van. Vanagon's have a flat vertical rear hatch, maybe the design doesn't adapt too well to it, but I wouldn't take a chance with an expensive bike.
