Falls at home are a huge risk because the injuries can be dangerous and permanent. Contributing to the danger are imbalance and Vertigo which are common as we age. We need to reduce the risk of falls to stay safer.This support tool helps maintain balance which in many cases may prevent falls.It uses suction cups so it needs no drilling and installs in seconds, literally.I've used similar looking grab bars in a shower and they've worked. But this product has some significant advantages over the competition when used in a tiled shower.The biggest barrier to suction cups with tiled walls are grout lines in the tile because the suction can't get a solid grip.Most other suction cup bars have two cups, one at each end. These have a third cup in the middle. The cups at the ends of these bars are slightly smaller than on other suction cup bars I have so they offer a little more flexibility in positioning.I couldn't use my other suction cup grab bars in a shower with 4 inch tiles. I tried these and they were perfect. Because of their design, there was less interference from grout lines. They grabbed onto the tiles and held tightly from the first. They provide much needed support to help me stay balanced.I'll get them again and install them on other smooth surfaces anywhere extra balance is needed.NOTE: Because they're not bolted to the wall you should use them only to maintain balance and not to pull your entire weight up. But balance gives confidence, allows you to shift your weight, and helps to prevent problems.
