It has the normal wear and tear and scuffing of a shipping box. Since it wasn't, the green carton is not something you would want to put in your pantry. Just saying. I will have to buy a new tin or something to put the bags of tea bags in. I have never purchased it like this before. I have yet to make tea. Will be back to tell you if the quality of the tea is up to what it should be. I have used this tea for years, so I know how it should taste. Had this been a gift, I would have had to purchase another container. Just saying what is so. For consistency I would give it a great big goose egg (that would be zero).I had been buying one quart bags at the supermarket and was over the moon when I came across these on Subscribe and Save. I also get Billington's Natural Demerara Sugar from S & S and use 2/3 cup to make a gallon of lightly sweetened tea. It was delicious!As I worked through the box, I began to notice something strange. Sometimes my tea tasted watery. I wasn't doing anything differently when I brewed it and I consistently put the same amount of ice into the large tumbler that goes everywhere with me. I was baffled.I make and drink a few gallons of this a week. Staying well hydrated is a must when it comes to getting through Florida's blazing hot summers. I've cut out soft drinks completely and as a cancer survivor, I prefer not to use any artificial sweeteners. Last week the answer became crystal. I was making tea in my usual manner and was suddenly struck by something odd. The bag felt funny in my hand when I took it out of the box. I held it up to the light. It didn't look right either. I broke out the digital scale that I use for weighing ingredients when I make dough. The bag weighed .5 ounce. I looked at the box. It is supposed to contain 24/1 ounces bags. Mystery solved!So I am going to go ahead and assume that these are either seconds, or that the quality control staff has been sleeping on the job. I hand over my money in good faith that I am going to get what I paid for, and not get shorted. I'm very disappointed. I purchase four other Stash products on Amazon's S & S and now I'm tempted to count the contents to ensure they contain 100 bags.Weighing the bags when I make iced tea adds another step, but it's better than drinking brown colored sweetened water. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love Stash teas! *by J***Y on September 23, 2016* Finally!! I have found an iced tea that I can drink without needing to add sugar!!! I like the Black Currant a lot, and I have also tried the Orange Spice (which is also good) so far. These are dead simple to brew--put one of the giant bags in a container in the fridge with water overnight, and then mix that tea concentrate in with enough water to fill 1 gallon the next day. Easy peasy! You can do it with boiled water, too (especially if you are in a hurry), but I like the lazy way ;) This is now my go-to way to make iced tea at home. They are not as strong in the caffeine department I don't think, tho, so you may need to drink more than usual if that is a concern. I seem to need to, anyway. But flavor-wise these are a total winner in my book. I am really happy to have a non-bitter tasting tea to drink!
