Review: Blumat kit with bucket - excellent watering system for absentee gardener - The set works as advertised. I used it outdoors to water eight pots during a two-week summer vacation. The setup was easy and the Blumat kit with bucket kept the plants watered. Things I should have done differently and which may be helpful to other users: 1) I assembled the kit the day before I left and did not have the time to adjust the water flow per instructions; next time I will put the kit together a few days in advance - as recommended in the instructions; 2) the water bucket is black, and the weather was very hot during my vacation (100+ deg F); it would be better to place the bucket in a shaded place if possible, as the heated water may cook the plant roots if the bucket is in the sun; 3) the supplied length of black 8mm tubing was just enough for my eight pots grouped together; a longer piece of tubing may be required if the pots are farther apart. Overall a great system that worked well for me.

Works exactly as advertised. Saves tons of time and once it is setup and working it is amazing. Getting it functioning perfectly does take some tweaking and a watchful eye until it's how you want it.
