When mounting the blade it is vitally important that it is centred correctly, otherwise the strimmer will vibrate uncontrollably and probably wreck the gearbox. The easiest way to do this is to turn the machine on its back.As some others have noted a small screwdriver is supplied. Prior to getting this kit I used an old drill bit to insert in the strimmer head to lock everything while removing or replacing the spool. This did not work with the blade adaptor kit and I had to use the small screwdriver, which I could jiggle about a bit. I assume there is a slight misalignment between the adaptor as manufactured and the strimmer body.
