Monster High CD Boombox (56049)

Most of the reviews for this product are poor, so I bought the extended warranty. 24 hours after first playing it, it skipped and was scratching my cds. Sometimes the music would FF or the volume would disappear. So after a few weeks of that (my daughter played it every day for those few wks), I decided to Use a CD DISC cleaner and it has played perfectly since. Sometimes we have think about what is wrong and look at all the clues first! So 5 stars.

I bought this as a gift for my daughters birthday. My daughter loves the design, it's very cute! So far it plays CDs we'll. it does skip if moved or sitting on a table that gets bumped.

This little monster high boom box is so cute. It will be a christmas present for my daughter and i know she will love it! Ive tried it out a little bit, because of the reviews saying they have had many problems. It worked great for me. I tried both burned and store bought cds, with no problems on either cd. The sound was excellent! It goes plunty loud, without any crackling or distorted sound. The size of the boombox is what makes it so adorable! Just a tiny little thing, but super cool with the monster high graphics! She (or i!) will be able to move it around with no effort at all. Im very pleased with my purchase. I almost bought a mp3 player, but decided to get the boombox instead!! Very glad I did!

It looked cute! But lasted about 5 minutes! We played 1 CD when we first opened our Xmas present --- tried it again laterand it did not perform properly again. It would start, stop, start, go silent, it could not play the CD again -- we tried severaldifferent CD's , even brand new ones, and no luck.We returned it and with Amazon Prime, it was quick and so easy!!

not the best quality but i got it for my 8 yr old daughter & it does the job. Antenna is a POS but she only listens to her cd's

I first bought this at toys r us. as a present for my daughter for christmas. The CD player didn't work, so I returned it, and found another one on here. On this one. One of the speakers doesn't work unless you turn it all the way up, and even if you turn it all the way down, the other speaker still sounds like it is blasting... Total piece of crap. I would have returned it had my daughter not thrown a fit. Mattel should really be ashamed of such a product!

I did notice all of the bad reviews when purchasing this item, however, it seemed like a perfect gift option for Christmas for our 7 year old. She's just young enough that any major electronics will more than likely end up damaged. I do think this item is overpriced. Asking 45 bucks for something that is mostly outdated doesn't seem realistic, however, it is competitive if you do a search. Most places will charge for shipping regardless of membership so the total does even out in the end. AM/FM radio works just fine as well as the CD player.

I was looking forward to the same design as the item listed because it was the same one I had when I was younger. I was looking forward to falling in my nostalgic vibe rip. ITS STILL GREAT
