I'm disappointed, but I was very pleased with the distance and clarity of the binoculars until that issue arose, so I'm hopeful this was a one-time issue and not a design flaw...***On a side note, the included "instruction manual" is a bad joke... The English section is clearly translated from another language, and of the ten images provided, only one actually depicts the right model (the rest are stock illustrations of binoculars that are of no help).
