## Overview

The 9GreenBox Goji Berry plant, also known as Crimson Star, is a vibrant addition to your garden, shipped in a convenient 4'' pot. Enjoy delicious homegrown Goji Berries from spring to early summer!

## Description

Goji berry is one of nature's most nutrient-rich foods. This "superfruit" is packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to boost immunity and longevity. A deciduous perennial plant, it grows from 3-9' in height. Purple flowers appear in late spring to early summer and the bright orange-red "Goji" berries ripen from August to October. The sweet tasty fruit is harvested by shaking the vine. Once the berries, about the size of a raisin, are fully ripe and full of nutrients, they fall off the vine easily. The berries may be eaten fresh or sun-dried to be enjoyed later. Home grown by 9Greenbox.

Review: My goji berry plants are doing amazingly well! - December 14th Update: I ended up propagating a dozen new plants and they had grown nicely, with even two flowers on one. Unfortunately, those plants plus my original two all contacted spider mites and I couldn't save them. I put ALOT of work into these, and I'm very disappointed. They are very susceptible to insects, and I would have to inspect them daily and spray them with neem oil. I actually was starting to worry about how I could do this when they grew even bigger. The spider mites also moved to my other plants. If you're looking for a good tropical fruit plant, I'm having good luck with dwarf banana plants (musa) . September 10th Update: My goji berry plants are now doing great! Since their almost demise they bounced back well. During this time every time I watered them I used half strength Miracle Gro fertilizer. After about 4 weeks I replanted into 6 inch pots with 1:3 mixture of worm castings and cactus soil. Then I cut back the top of the stem, about 2-3 leaves down from each stem. If you can see from the pictures one plant grew 3 new shoots and the other plant grew 6 new shoots! I'm so excited! In about 6 weeks I'll replant and cut back a few of the biggest shoots. Hopefully it'll grow like crazy again! One more thing... I've got a TaoTronics LED Growlight For Indoor plants(36 watt) directed at the plants about 4 feet away because my apartment window is northeast facing (there is also a mirror which I placed behind the plants to reflect back onto them). I would definitely recommend ordering one or two of these goji berry plants from 9Greenbox. They have excellent customer service. They will contact you once your plants are delivered to see how they are doing. If there's a problem 9Greenbox will do whatever they can to make sure you're satisfied. Original review: When I received my goji berry plant its leaves were very pale green and curled. I sent an e-mail to 9Greenbox and they responded very quickly. They offered to either refund my money or to send me another plant. I chose to have another plant sent to me. This one looked healthier but... then my cat got ahold of it and ate every leaf except for one and knocked it out of the pot! I'm just not having any luck with these goji berry plants. I'm hoping this second one might bounce back but idk...
Review: Goji Berry - Love this fruit
