They offer nice compression but I think I got one size too big. I had a little bit of size confusion, because I'm a men's 10 but a women's 12, and those are classed in the size chart as two different sizes. I got the large, but I think they're probably a little loose, so I went ahead and ordered the mediums for my next pair. Those fit much firmer, and I think I will stick to that medium size--so I would say go by your men's size.The larges were the pink and black, but the mediums I got were in the olive and orange and blue circles. Both are true to photo, the olive is a VERY dark olive, but it IS olive green. My husband commented they looked like they belonged in the Portal games, which sold me on the colourway of course! Now I feel like my special medical support socks are Long Fall Boots! All the patterns feel very futuristic and mecha or superhero-y, so that's definitely a selling point for me! Vitalsox are the only reliable ones that do that with their colourways.As for how to put them on--turn them inside out, stick your arm down the inside and make a little cup out of the toe of the sock, then grab your toes with the sock and slowly work it up your foot and leg, turning it back right side out while it's on your leg. You do NOT pull these on just like any old sock, and you don't pull them off like one either. Adding these to your outfit will add time to your dressing routine, plan accordingly.So far I wash them by hand or cold wash cycle in a mesh bag. No dryer because I never ever put anything with this much elastic anywhere near heat no sir. Don't wash them in warm and don't put them in the dryer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ High Quality, Great bargain *by F***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2016* At 5'8" (I wear a 30" inseam in pants) they were also too long on me (I ordered the large with my foot size-11 in mens). Fits perfect in the foot. Length comes half way over my knee cap (if it were under my knee cap or all the way over I wouldn't have minded). However, with that said at the price I got them for (less than $8) I can't complain...and it's not a huge deal-I just fold the top over so it sits under my knee cap. They fell good, aren't too difficult to get on and look great. Love the bright colors! I can't seem to find anywhere in the listing the level of compression they provide (and I definitely have heavier socks/sleeves with more compression)-so I'd say they're pretty middle of the road with the level of compression they provide. Overall, very happy with my purchase, and I bought a few others (so, I now have 3 pairs!) ### ⭐⭐ Don't order if you have bigger calves! *by N***L on Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2019* I wear a size 11 shoe (Women's) and have a 17" calf. I ordered the Large size to be sure of the fit with the calf, because I didn't want these to be strangling my legs. The foot was way too big. They bunched up between the toe and heel. The upper part of the sock was so tight, I could barely get them over my calves, and when I did they were extremely uncomfortable, as they were way too tight. I measured my calves again ... both of them to ensure I didn't measure wrong, and nope... Both 17" at the widest part. They do get two stars instead of one, as the material was soft, and they did stretch pretty well.
