This is not a true quilt, as it's top and underside are both of one piece, however it has been needle quilted. It is extremely comfortable in both weight and feel. It's sizing is generous for even two sleepers. I ordered the full/queen size and I have a true queen sized mattress. The pillow shams zip closed, a feature I was surprised by, due to the price. I am a cold sleeper, while my husband is a hot sleeper- this quilt is the perfect compromise without making either of us feel as if we had cimpromised at all. The price intimidated me in all the wrong ways, I thought I would be receiving a very cheaply made set. I am very impressed and have also bought the twin size for my daughter which fits very generously as well, she loves it. Do not keep searching. The pillow cases are huge. I ordered a queen size and its got good coverage, comfy not scratchy material (but not the softest in the world either). Its just comfy. Very happy!BUT!!! Please keep in mind I have not put this through the wash yet so I cant speak on its durability or texture once its had rounds through being cleaned.
