I would put out job applications day in and day out and lost myself in that grind. I watched a video where Alex discussed having gone through a similar time in his life, and how he got through it: One.positive.habit.at.a.time. It gave me the practical steps and so much hope that things could get better I thought, “if he can do it, I can do it.” So I started putting one foot in front of the other. Meditating daily. Walking outside. Eating well. One easy positive habit after another. Things started to get so much better for me.And as someone in her late twenties still figuring out what she wants to do with her life, when I saw that his new book “Milk the Pigeon: A Field Guide for Anyone Lost in Their 20s” came out, I knew I needed to read it.And seriously, I found myself highlighting page after page. As a personal development junkie, I can attest that this book is filled with inspiration and great advice, all weaved through his personal journey. Alex’s writing makes you feel like you know him, and he has a sense of humor that comes through his writing. I especially love this idea of stacking bricks, following what your interests are, and iterating through that process until you find yourself living and designing exactly the life you dreamed of.Some of the practical steps I have already taken include re-writing my Ultimate story, figuring out my flow and things that truly bring me joy, and becoming more connected with my intuition. So, I've watched most of Alex's vlogs and read his other two books, 'Master The Day' and 'What The Heck Should I Eat For Dinner?'; and I wasn't a bit disappointed.I've learned about the blog milkthepigeon.com only after hearing about this upcoming new book, so I've delved into it too - and in the process got some serious insight regarding how to set up a successful blog and turn it into vlog and even books!I've joined the launch team and read the draft of 'Milk the Pigeon' almost in a weekend.
