Being a paste, I find they have a smoother texture when melted or eaten from bag. The aroma of the cocao paste is stronger chocolate and more vivid undertones. I used to buy cocoa powder in making my home-made chocolates. After discovery of the Cocao Paste, I will always buy the paste in future. The higher cocao butter content makes the most creamy delicious chocolate bars and shapes. Making own home-made chocolates is the only real way to have chocolate without fructose syrup. Fructose syrup is very different from Real cane sugar. Cocao Paste with real sugar is far healthier than anything with fructose syrup. These are a great value in making creamy smooth chocolates at home... daily, weekly, or monthly. It is vastly superior to anything mass produced with unnecessary added ingredients. Absolutely Delicious. Only downside was I could not find larger kg plus sized bags of the Cocao Paste... Review: Great taste and texture without the sugar - Really good quality, great taste and sized buttons. Eat them raw, add to recipes or make a lovely hot drink from them. Eat them raw, add to recipes or make a lovely hot drink from them. And what a lovely aroma when you open the packet. Plus the texture is perfect. Ideal for that chocolate hit without the sugar ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My go-to cacao for drinking, great alternative to coffee/tea *by S***. on 4 October 2020* This high quality cacao is great for drinking. It is much better for you, and also tastier, because it contains the cacao butter (hence "cacao liquor"). Most cacao sold for drinking has been "de-fatted", and contain little to none cacao butter, which is super healthy, and you need it to get the full benefits of drinking cacao. I drink this as an alternative to tea and coffee. Cacao contains a lot of theobromine (specific to cacao), theanine (like green tea) and caffeine (like coffee). Unlike tea or coffee, it relases the caffeine and theanine much slower over time, so you won't get the same boost as from an espresso, but you can definitely feel the effect if you drink 20g+. It is however extremely high in antioxidants, even compared to matcha green tea. Theobromine also has a range of health benefits. I drink 30g of cacao with 90g of water, whisked with hot (not boiling) water. While it is sweeter than de-fatted cacao, you may still want to add extra water or plant-based milk if you find it too bitter (I've read somewhere that it's best to avoid dairy with cacao, to maximise the health benefits). I personally drink it with water only, and a few drops of vanilla extract. Vanilla extract helps with bitterness so it is a very common ingredient in dark chocolates. I do not add sugar but you can add some if you don't mind the calories. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/117093908-sevenhills-wholefoods-organic-cacao-paste-liquor-mass-wafers-discs-500g](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/117093908-sevenhills-wholefoods-organic-cacao-paste-liquor-mass-wafers-discs-500g) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
